Come see me play with "the EarRegulars" every Sunday night at the Ear Inn, 8:00-11:00 pm with Matt Munisteri on guitar and a variety of guest bassists and miscellaneous horn-or-whatever players. The Ear is at 326 Spring St. (between Greenwich and Washington streets), almost all the way to the West Side Highway. 212.226.9060. It's one of the oldest bars in NYC, with a very interesting history going back to 1817. No cover or minimum, but please visit our friend Phillup DeBucket (that's a subtle way of saying we have a tip jar). There's yummy inexpensive food served late, casual attire is fine, Victor, the coolest bartender ever, excellent waitstaff...and it's always a really fun hang! Sunday, May 4th Matt and bassist Joel Forbes will be there with special guests Charlie Caranicas-trumpet and Harvey Tibbs-trombone. I will be playing in Kobe, Japan with Bobby Gordon-clarinet, James Chirillo-guitar and Greg Cohen-bass. I'll be back in time for Sunday, May 11th when I'll be joined by special guest mofo John Allred on trombone, Joel Forbes on bass and Matt Munisteri on guitar. May 18th Scott Robinson will be on hand performing his unique brand of musical alchemy. Do what??

I'm also normally at the Ear Inn the 1st Monday night of each month, the late-late show midnight to 3 am (OK, so it's technically Tuesday) w/ Matt Munisteri's quartet.

I'll be playing Thursday, May 22nd, 7:30-ish-9pm, duo with pianist Ehud Asherie @ Small's for a special night of swingin' goodness. 183 W. 10th at 7th Ave. South.

I play most Wednesdays at Birdland (the band is there every week) 5:30-7:15 p.m., with David Ostwald's Louis Armstrong Centennial Band (a.k.a. David Ostwald's Gully Low Jazz Band) 315 W. 44th St., between 8th and 9th Ave., 212.581.3080.
There is a $10 cover charge...but we play for the door, so don't whine! They also serve tasty food.

Mondays May 12th and 19th and then all Mondays for the foreseeable future I'll be playing with the Nighthawks at their new steady gig (which starts May 5th).
